That's My Rhyme Scheme

I really ought to study, and I will, which means there's a sleepless night ahead. Not the most efficient way to go about things, perhaps, but I needed a moment, and a long moment at that, of repose. I am just about satisfied, feel a bit stiff in the joints but am determined. Perhaps I'll drink a lot of water and then have a pee. I don't know if this is a phrase used often, but if it ain't it ought to be.

I haven't updated this is in a very long time. It's been an underwhelming few days and an underwhelming month, I dare say. I've been setting things in motion at a deliberate pace. These are very important times, and difficult times at that. If all goes badly, and one must always be prepared for that eventuality, I do have options. In that regard I'm very fortunate, touch wood.

There are quite a few things I'd have be different about the planet. Did I mention that I dearly love the United States? My thoughts turn to crucial moments in history: the period immediately following the Second World War, for example, and it gives me pause. Some people will never see the light, it seems. It is painfully clear. I am, of course, far from worldly and far from experienced, but I acknowledge my mistakes and believe myself to be capable of learning from them. The detente types and peaceniks, on the other hand, strike me as utterly brain dead and mightily resistant to common sense.

Oh for goodness sake, I don't drink sake, or eat shiitake. And that's the way I like it, so don't be cocky.
